Abstract
This Creative Commons (NC ND) paper was written by three Australian authors and published in August 2023, looks at the valuable role peer reviewers can and should play for educational technology research. This can be regarded as a useful reference for new peer reviewers and for new journal editors. It highlights the importance of professional development for peer reviewers. Research institutions and academic publishers have key roles in the delivery of this professional development. A more constructive approach to responsible practice and quality for research integrity needs to recognise the value and importance of quality peer review.
