Abstract
Biomedical papers can be retracted for several reasons, including situations where a trial or project is seriously compromised by fabricated/falsified or a serious conflict of interest. If retracted papers are used in systemic reviews and meta-analyses, they can cause significant harm, distress, injury or even death. This open access paper published in July 2023 suggests some strategies for scientists, peer-reviewers, journal editors to guard against his problem.
