The AHRECS team have been working on a peer-to-peer service to put researchers in touch with expert independent advisers. Researchers will be able to send their research plan to a Research Ethics Adviser (REA) for collegiate advice. This will not be research ethics review but will allow researchers to obtain advice on the ethical dimensions of their work prior to research ethics review. This will be an international service, but for the time being will not be offered to the US. Drop us a line (gary.allen@ahrecs.com) if you would like to be kept informed about this service or if you’re interested in nominating to be an adviser.
