Let’s be honest, few people (even candid and self-aware ethics officers) would describe human research ethics codes/regulations/requirements as interesting.  Gary always tried to open his workshops with a little bit of self-depreciation.  These abducting aliens kicked out an ethics officer who tried to explain the regulations to them.
